Planetary Gear Motors in Various Designs

SEVA planetary gear motors are available with up to 75kW and are used in a variety of applications with high torque
requirements and a compact design. The modularly manufactured planetary gear unit consists of sun, planet, and internal gearing.
In order to cover the requirements of different working areas, the planetary gear units are available in different versions
with a wide range of accessories. Since the planetary gear units are operated in small rooms with high torque, the high-power
density of the planetary gear units creates a correspondingly high thermal load. For this reason, thermal performance must be
checked when choosing a suitable drive. Planetary gear units are mainly utilised for mobile machinery and have become
particularly established for cranes, metal processing machines, construction machines, and wind turbines.
