Size and Power Output Capacity of the Helical Worm Gear Motor
Electrically controllable helical worm gear motors are made of aluminium or cast-iron housing and are available in the following sizes: CMRV, 30, 40, 50, 63, 75, 80, 90, 100, 110, 125, 130, and 150. The following power output capacities are available for combined helical worm gear units, frequency inverters and three-phase motors: 0.18kW, 0.25kW, 0.37kW, 0.55kW, 0.75kW, 1.1kW, 1.5kW, 2.2kW, 3.0kW, 4.0kW, 5.5kW, 7.5kW, and 11kW.

Shaft Diameters and Torques
The helical worm gear units are available with the following hollow shafts: 14mm, 18mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, and 50mm. The torque output depends, among other things, on the motor power, efficiency, and output speed. Taking these points into consideration we supply helical worm gear units in the range of 10-2000Nm.
Frequency Inverter – Assembly
The EASYdrive frequency inverter is mounted in the area where the motor terminal box is located with the help of an adapter plate. It can optionally be mounted in 90° intervals by rotating the motor. The SEVA-tec helical worm gear motor can be installed in almost any required position. The mounting positions are designated M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, and M6.
Frequently Required Accessories
As the variable speed drive unit is often operated below 35Hertz, the motor must be protected from overheating by an external forced cooling fan. A high degree of self-locking of the gear unit is often also necessary. Since this is often too low for helical worm gear units, a dehumidifying motor with a brake is required. SEVA-tec can supply and install the external fan as well as the motor brake for the required helical gear motor.
A Special Frequency Inverter
A frequency inverter optionally offers the possibility to become “bus capable” with the help of field bus modules. With CANopen, EtherCAT, Modbus (already included), Profibus, Profinet, and Sercos, the EASYdrive offers compatibility with almost all common control environments. The customer may select a relevant bus system and thus integrate the EASYdrive into the control environment of their application. The required optional control variant must be specified when ordering. The EASYdrive drive controllers are CE, UL, and CSA certified. The EASYdrive can maintain EMC class C2 (for 3-phase mains supply) or C1 (for 1-phase mains supply without external filtering measures.
